Although parts of the net barriers were destroyed, further attacks were less successful, and the bridge in Nijmegen was not destroyed.
The submarines were 9.035 meters long, 1.57 meters wide, and had a diving depth of 20 meters. On June 26, 1958, a Biber-type submarine was found in the Rhine near the Spyck oil refinery. The wreck had become entangled in the temporarily slack towing cable of a tug convoy. Recovered from the Rhine near Emmerich, it was restored thanks to the initiative of industrialist C. H. von Gimborn. Since July 2000, the submarine has been on display in the garden of the Rhine Museum.
