Here the escape plan was devised
At the house belonging to this campsite, the grand escape was conceived.
In late 1944, early 1945, the first escaped forced labourer from Camp Rees knocked on this door. His stories about the horrors of the camp prompted Jan and Theo Venhorst to organise the large-scale escape.
