From 28 August to 27 September 2026, the Eusebiuskerk in Arnhem hosts Standing With Giants – The Battle of Arnhem, a poignant exhibition honoring the soldiers who fought during the Battle of Arnhem in 1944. This powerful installation features life-sized steel silhouettes of soldiers, handcrafted by volunteers—many of them veterans—to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for freedom.
The silhouettes, known as "Giants," stand as silent witnesses to history, creating a visual and emotional connection to the hanging paratroopers in the Eusebiuskerk’s council chapel and the Battle of Arnhem Experience in the church tower. This exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the value of freedom and the enduring legacy of those who fought for it.
